Healthy Air Living Schools (HALS)

Where: Fresno, CA.

Job Hours: varies, weekly

Description:

The HALS intern will work directly with the Program Coordinator to conduct a school-based outreach campaign focused on education, implementation and utilization of the Real-Time Air Advisory Network(RAAN), Schools “No-Idling” and “Clean Air Champions.”

Responsibilities:

-Work closely with program staff to conduct outreach to schools about the RAAN/Flag Program.

-Provide orientations/presentations and trainings to school staff.

-Distribute educational materials on the RAAN and other Air Quality programs to schools (e.g. Air Alert, “No-Idling”, Active Indoor Recess) to schools.

Travel:

Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel to schools within CCAC’s counties.

Qualifications:

-Pursing an Associates, Bachelors or Graduate Degree

-Prefer GPA of 2.5 or higher, but will consider circumstances

-Excellent oral, written, and communication/presentation skills
